Here in the diocese of Edmonton we are excited that a number of parishes are getting “messy”. The founder of Messy Church, Lucy Moore, visited in June 2010 to provide us with training and encouragement.

Messy Church began in April 2004 in an Anglican church near Portsmouth. It’s a way for families to get together and learn more about Christ through crafts, stories, food and fun. These programs are run in the early evening or on weekends outside the normal Sunday morning church schedule.
